Well today i have been informed of a few sad bits of info.
I have been informed that stage 6 will be closing down by the end of the month. This is deeply depressing. As you should know Stage 6 was a experiment thats whole goal was to bring HD video to your PC online. This like I said was a experiment, and it seems to have been a success. Even though its a success the creators no longer have the funds to keep the site going. They are no asking for donations, but I wish they would. That site had the videos in top quality–most of the time– but more than that it was great for modding tutorials–what TMS is all about– We will miss them. This unfortunatly means I must return to youtube. Now its not that I hate youtube, its that the quality sucks most of the time. However there is nothing we can do about that now.
The second bad news came that a awesome gadget store will be closing down. After this month–I think– Sharper Image will be closing its doors after its millions of dollars of debt. That store was amazing! And im sad to see it go, This month has been the bearer of bad news for most of the time–Minus the whole Wii homebrew
– As most of you also know CompUSA, also closed down–Well most of them–Which is another disappointment.
But hey it can only get better… Right?

Well so much has happened in a small amount of time. Iv been waiting for a some major news before I [Dark] Updated the Blog.
First in the news is the first Snes emulator Was Released! This is a major step forward in the development of homebrew for the Wii. You will realy only need about 3 things for this to work, at least from what iv read so far.
1. A Wii
2. Zelda : Twilight Princess
3. SD card.
Now with this hack comes a nifty lil DVD browser. This will allow you to search the DVD drive for ROM’s. This is very useful but im not sure if you can Browse the SD card for ROM’s. I think you can but seeing as I can’t find my Damn Zelda Disc I can’t make a tutorial, or prove it. You can bet that as soon as I find it I WILL TEST THIS!

OMG! Well lets see, its been only a few days since the homebrew hack was released for the Wii using a buffer overflow. You’d think that seeing as thats almost always the way consoles are hacked that this would be fixed. But lucky for me it isnt. I have a Wii and i can tell you im defiantly going to open my Wii up for homebrew. Ill [Dark] Be making a tutorial on how to open your Wii up for the awesome world of homebrew (and possible softmod?????)
For now all I can tell you is that you are going to need a copy of Zelda: Twilight princess. And not just any version either. There is a U.S. Version that is said to not play nice with the hack, more info later. (Oh god please have mine be compatible)

Well the other day I had to call bellsouth because I could not get any ports open on my network. They went through this whole “Disconnect this connect that go here go there…Ok what operating system are you running”
So at this point I say Linux
The Script reading monkey comes back and says “Oh I dont think that modem supports linux. We will have to mail you a different one it should be there in a day or 2″
At this point I finish the ordering process and wait 2 days to get my modem of a different brand…

The Asus EeePc is a great little laptop yes. But the resolution is to low for most things that people do.
So how do we fix this?
Get hacked drivers that will scale 800×600 and 1024×768 down to the eeepc’s native resolution.
How do you do this?

Ok so here is the deal. You goto a gamer meetup (ShmooCon perhaps?) and you take your brand new laptop. Well what happens if it gets stolen?
Well in the past you eather hoped that the person gives it back. Or that you have paid for LowJack. But chances are you just lost your new laptop
Well I [Tracker] was hopping around on the net early this morning when I stumbled upon a neat little program to help you in this scenario.

Well iv been saying that this was gonna happen, but here we go.
”

According to T3 magazine and a “particularly well-informed insider,” the PS3 is due not just for hard drive updates, but a total design revamp down to a slimmer and smaller package sometime in the Fall. If you believe what you read, the refreshed console will sport all the same specs, but will receive a fresh coat of paint, a trip through the shrinking machine, and probably a lightened load. Of course, this is all just wild speculation coupled with salacious, magazine-selling 3D renders of the phantom device, as Sony denies the existence of an update and we don’t really know who this source is. On the other hand, the company pulls this kind of ditzy “who me?” stuff whenever it’s got a new product up its sleeve — though we’re not feeling the timing on this shocker.”
So what do you think now Zanthis? Ya thats right you suck.
