Props go out to Austin Hickey for getting into the party. He sent me this via email asking me to put it up here so here it is. Some exclusive pictures and a video of the party. Details about the game can be found below

Via No Guts, No Glory

The Tampa Bay Rays are a win away from clinching their first playoff berth in team history. With a record of 91-61, the Rays lead the AL East by 1.5 games over the defending World Series Champs the Boston Red Sox. Joe Maddon, the team’s manager, has done wonders with a lineup that was ignored before the season, but are now the Cinderella story of MLB for the 2008 season.

On the other hand, the Yankees, with their usual inflated salaries, are 7.5 games out of the Wild Card with a record of 83-71, without a miracle, the storied franchise will miss the post-season for the time in 13 seasons. The Steinbrenners, Hank and George, need to find a new formula, star players+ high salaries does not = championships, but selfless, hardworking players will give you a fighting chance. Hopefully, for their sakes, the opening of the new Yankee Stadium will bring good fortunes for years to come. The highest paid team in the league will be watching the playoffs at home just like the rest of us, must suck to be a Yankee fan this year.
I know I know normally we don’t cover sports but hey TMS is the first with inside pictures and video.

fail

So apparently ASUS recovery disks are full of keygens and personal files. I find this particularly funny because I have a feeling this is someone’s truly epic practical joke at ASUS. Unfortunately, whoever does take the blame for it will probably get in some truly serious trouble. So mad props to the mastermind behind this.

Have some sensitive information you need to keep out of someone elses hands? Or are you jsut paranoied someone is gonna spend the time to recover data off your drive after you format it and find out about your huge porn collection? Well then this is for you. Sure there are programs out there that will nuke a drive and make it almost un recoverable. Sure you can use magnets. But even with those it is still possible to get the data. How do you fix this? Simple. You melt it!! Using Thermite!!! HackADay has a great post with all the information and a nice disclamer. Like that is gonna stop anyone. Anyway check the link below. They even have videos of the melting in progress!

This tool is especially good for people who design websites and or graphics. As well as those with dual monitors. Want to know the best part about Calibrize? Its FREE!!!!!

This is just sad. Really Microsoft making Bill Gates do a stupid Dance is not funny. If you could please make a commercial that had some meaning in it and showed progress instead of retarded-ness then maybe people would buy your products without feeling like they are going to be hung out to dry. Here is a link to Windows Commercial 2

and the first one is Here

Dropbox out of beta

Ok well I have been using Dropbox [BETA] for a while now because I got a invite from a friend of mine. But yesterday it finally came out of beta. Basically what Dropbox is it is a online flashdrive. You can add multiple computers even operating systems [linux osx and windows are all supported] I am not sure about the accounts now but my beta account is 2gigs in size. Some of the great features of it are file recovery. If you delete a file and did not mean to you can go in and restore it. As a matter of fact I deleted a file a month ago and restored it yesterday. Another nice feature is when you put a file into your dropbox folder it syncs automatically to all the computers linked to your dropbox account. And if you update that file from any of the computers it does not transfer the whole file again. Instead it only transfers what has been changed. This is really good in the event that you have a couple hundred MB file or even a 10mb text file [I have a few of those] and you edit it then it only transfers those few bytes that were changed. So if you are looking for something like this I suggest checking it out.
