More Mods? More Money! [Help us out?]

I know I know….recently there have been very very very few mods that I have posted. The sad reality is it costs money to mod stuff because you have to buy the stuff to mod. So till I can get some money of my own why dont you share some of yours with me so that the modding can go on :D . I have lots of mods planned but they all cost money. If I get enough donations I will give away some of my modded stuff to the people who donated. ;)

Simple PHP Banner script

Ok so I had sold some banners [look up!] and needed a way to roate them in a random form. Well my solution is quite simple and if you are needing something to do the same thing below is the script for you! :)

$bannerAd[1] = 'code for ad 1';
$bannerAd[2] = 'code for ad 2';
$bannerAd[3] = 'code for ad 3';
$bannerAd[4] = 'code for ad 4';
$bannerAd[5] = 'code for ad 5';

$adCount = count($bannerAd);
$randomAdNumber = mt_rand(1, $adCount);
echo $bannerAd[$randomAdNumber];
?>

Now for its use. Place the EXACT code be it flash or image or text inside one of the ” tags. If you dont need all 5 then remove the lines you dont need. If you do need more than 5 then just add more with the next number [6 7 8 9...so on and so forth]

Thats as simple as it gets. Just place that code on your PHP ENABLED site and it will be all good :)

Fail of the day…Woman calls 911 3 times over McNuggets

Authorities say a Florida woman called 911 three times after McDonald’s employees told her they were out of Chicken McNuggets.

A police report says 27-year-old Fort Pierce resident Latreasa L. Goodman told authorities she paid for a 10-piece last week but was later informed the restaurant had run out.

She says she was refused a refund and told all sales were final. A cashier told police she offered Goodman a larger portion of different food for the same price, but Goodman became irate.

This is just an epic fail…….

I played it for about 5min and found its not what I expected at all and that was that. If your into stratigy games and such then maybe you will like it.

Ok so I have been posting these on my twitter a lot but this one deserves a full post. I am just going to copy the good bits out of the full article.

A man who stuffed his girlfriend’s cat into a makeshift bong and smoked marijuana through it said Tuesday that he had done it on other occasions and that it calmed the cat down.

Well no shit the cat was stoned!

smoking marijuana from a boxlike contraption that had the cat stuffed inside its 12-inch by 6-inch base.

I call it a kitty bong!

“Every time we took her out she would pretty much just lay down and proceed to clean herself and act like a stoned person,” Schomaker said.

And eat a ton of catfood? :P

The bong had a foot-long piece of garden hose coming out of a Plexiglas box, with the top secured with duct tape. Schomaker said it was constructed in such a way that the cat did not get immersed in smoke to the extent some might believe.

Schomaker said law enforcement and animal specialists lectured him about why what he did was cruel, and that he learned from his mistake.

Hmm I wonder if his next trick will be hamster bong or puppy bong!

$5 says that contraptions like this are sold on some ebay style site somewhere :P

Gonna start a podcast….My How To! – Pt. 1

Ok so yesterdays post was the equipment I was going to need and a bit about what it is I am going to do. So I am just gonna continue that.

I have quite a few domain names. Me and Dark were going to start a podcast a while back and call it random gamers. I bought that domain and a few days later Dark lost access to a decent computer. After thinking about it a bit I realized that it would not have been the best option anyway. New domain means no traffic. Themodshop has a good bit of traffic so why not do it on here? :D

So thats where I stand as of now. I am looking for people interested in co-hosting the podcast as well as possible interviews with other bloggers out there. If you are interested shoot me an email tracker [at] themodshop [dot] net
Ok lets get back to what I was saying. I don’t have the microphone I ordered but other than that I have most of everything I need. Right now I am going to describe some of the software and the desktop that I am going to use for it.

  • The Computer

Ok the computer I am going to use for this is my main pc. Now when I built this pc I only put 2gb of ram in it. So I ordered another 2gb because it was cheap [$25~] now if you are just doing audio you can get by with a lot less. But I plan on doing some videos so the extra power will come in handy.

Specs

  • AMD Phenom 9850 4×2.5Ghz
  • 4gb ram
  • 1x 300gb IDE drive [storage]
  • 1x320gb SATA drive [Main]
  • Nvidia 8600GT [1gb gddr3]
  • Windows Vista Ultimate x86

So as you can see…I have a decent computer. Not the best but decent.

Software

Now this is going to be 2 sections because there are free applications and paid applications

FREE!!!!!

  • Audacity for audio
  • Windows Movie Maker for video

Now Windows movie maker does suck major ass. However it is easyish to use and comes with any windows os out there.

Audacity is a decent program that can record cut split add remove all that good stuff with audio. Its probbly what I will use for audio editing.

PAID………

  • Audio: ? ? ?
  • Video: Adobe Primer

Ok so I have no idea of any decent paid audio editing programs because well I use audacity and love it :P

As far as the video. I am going to try and use Adobe Primer because I have it and it was suggest as one of the best out there.

That wraps up this part of the how to and I will be back with another part where I will give info on the inputs.
