Heh, ok guys I have been away for far to long, but not without good reason! For starters I got a job! That means I can buy new consoles and equipment! Also I finally upgraded to my new custom built PC! Actually its time for a story, because I should have had this PC up and running for about 3 months. When I fist got all the parts from newegg I was going to make a PC building tutorial, however I didn’t have my camera and I was so excited that I built it in just under 2 hours, but at the time I had no operating system disc so it sat there doing nothing for 2 weeks until I got a Vista 64 Bit Ultimate CD and CD key. All went well, I downloaded steam and counter-strike: source started up and joined a server, BAM, Crash. Turns out the card was bad, then I RMA’ed it and got another one, It worked… for about 5 days then the same problem happened again. So now I’m waiting for it to return, in the mean time I bought a temporary card and I like it alot more. More information on this card fiasco later but for now I’m just glad to be back!

Guess what everyone Dark is back! [So he says] he is wanting to do a post every day as well as me. Thus providing with you guys even more modding lust! Perhaps we will even bring back the podcast [NO WAI!] This should get quite interesting because if you have not noticed Dark has been gone MIA from TheModShop since early May of this year. Well apparently he has gotten things together and will be posting now but we will have to see how long that lasts.
In any event look forward to a lot more modding and a lot less suck from the site in the coming weeks

For a while now I have used Akismet to keep the spam on the site down however in recent months I have been getting the following message quite often.

Now I can click the link to fix it and I am presented with the following info

For one reasion or another the akismet servers are crashing or the network between my server and the akismet servers is failing.
Anyone else have this issue?

Today twitter released a new home page on the site. This new one does not match the site at all so my theroy is that the entire site will be redesigned soon…

Apparently at&t got a small ddos on a few people from a 4chan server [img.4chan.org] and then at&t decided to block the server all together on the entire network.
Well they have unblocked it now however it is 4chans move and we are going to have to wait and see what happens…

The man you see in the picture above is named Justin Heyne. On March 30th of 2006 he shot and killed Benjamin Hamilton, Sarah Buckoski and their 5-year-old daughter, Ivory Hamilton. Why? Because Mr. Hamilton made fun of him….On July 20th 2009 the jury selection began in his trial. While prosecutors are pushing for him to be served with the death penalty. The mother of Sarah is wanting him to be served with 3 life terms with out parole.
Now you may be asking yourself… “Why the hell is Tracker posting this?”
J.C. [Justin C Heyne] is the son of my step dads close friend. I have known them since I was about 6 years old. Matter of fact in a drawer in the other room there are baby pictures of J.C. This post just goes to show that you can never predict what someone will do.

Ok so I am just gonna jump right into the fail here because it does not need a funny back story.
The facts… 4,343 merchants 573,928 card holders 1 company to fuck it up.
Network solutions had one of the servers processing transactions hacked and a malicous code installed that allowed hackers to steal credit card info from the almost 600,000 people! This all happened between March 12th and June 8th.
Apparently Network Solutions knew about the hacked server on July 8th but waited till [if I am reading this correctly] Close of business Friday. [This Friday last Friday or June 10th Friday?]
In any event they did not notify the customers fast enough in my opinion so that is a double fail.
As of right now none of the credit card info has been used [so they think] but that can change. They are trying to make it better but its kind of hard to do with over half a million people effected.
Oh well that’s life…

A man in china has died after reportedly committing suicide possibly due to the loss of a prototype iphone v4. The man worked for Foxconn a manufacturer for all iPhones based out of china. Reports are that he was integrated searched his home was also searched. Some reports also say that he was held in solitary confinement and even tortured. All this because of a lost phone? Come on guys really?
