Ok so the videos of the xbox 360 mod are on hold right now because of personal issues and the move to the new house. I promise once everything is moved in and setteled I will edit them together and take a disk to someones  house with a decent internet connection and upload them.

Oh and the joy of moving I will be downgrading from 20mb internet to 1.5mb. Someone shoot me?

Ok so the posts will probably drop in quality and or stop going every single day because I am moving. Yes I am moving AGAIN. I move houses more than I move servers.

In any event I am gonna try and keep the posts up but its gonna be a little tricky.

Ok so here is the deal the Australian Police thought they had taken down a large hacker group called r00t-y0u.org.

Well they didn’t take them all out apparently and a short time after one of the hackers managed to gain access to one of the servers that stores some important data because the police did not properly secure their mysql servers.

A police spokeswoman tried to downplay the breach, stating:

“The [purloined] information consists of directory file names of previously compromised credentials. No information or files exist that have, or could have, been compromised.”

Do you believe that? I don’t…

In any event maybe next time they will make sure they get them all and not just gloat about it on TV!

If you couldn’t tell here this is a DOUBLE FAIL.

1. The police for going on TV and saying they took the entire group down when in fact they did not
2. The police for not properly securing servers that could have possibly held classified information

Ok so I bit the bullet  and got a 2 week netflix trial account and have been using it for a few days and so far here is my thoughts on it.

The first and only dvd I have gotten so far got here the day after I placed it in my quine and it worked and all so no complaints.

My big thing however was the video streaming. I have watched probably 9 movies in 3 days on my computer. Trying out both the media center extension and the browser based player.

From what I can see the media center based player kind of sucks for me because it seems to have a few bugs such as randomly crashing my computer or rather making it to unstable to use.

The browser plugin on the other hand seems to work great as long as you install the silverlight extension. The quality while no where near HD is still acceptable and watchable.

I will be testing it on the 360 when I get xbox live [courtesy of Dark] and once I send back a dvd and get a couple more in the mail I will write a full review on the process but so far I would recommend netflix if you dont want to use any of those ahem other methods.

Yes people still use the old original xbox and this guy here gets major 1337 points for turning the old mammoth of a console into a sleek sexy media playing machine.

The console lacks a optical drive however that is something that is not a huge deal breaker because the games can be played from the 320gb laptop harddrive.

It does run a bit hot but that is to be expected when you cram it into that small of a space.

I have been slacking the new wordpress is out and I am going to upgrade… Wish me luck!

Ok so the xbox 360 mod is complete and I have it put back together.Went a little over budget but that will all be explained.

I am testing everything out making sure the new thermal paste I put on it is.

I am also waiting for a couple new parts that should be here early next week.

Those being a Harddrive headset and a copy of COD4.

I am going to begin editing the videos very soon as well

Ok so I have all of my xbox 360 stuff going on [check the forums ] and I turned my 360 on today popped in my 64mb card because I was cheap and didnt buy a harddrive. Tried to update the software so I can access xbox live when I go get my subscription and guess what… “You need to insert a harddrive or memory card with atleast 128mb of free memory to update your xbox live application” or something like that. WTF Microsoft really w…t…f?

Ok so I cant get on xbox live because it cant get the files. But wait there is more! It did have enough space to download this shity half assed looking overlay thing that looks like it is the retarded child of the wii and ps2 combined. I miss my old dashboard

In any event I had to order a harddrive off of ebay for the damn 360 so I can play xbox live and would at this point like to tell microsoft to suck a nut because you suck

Ok so as of now the paint is done and the lights are in waiting on an adapter wireless controler and a few other goodies to wrap this mod up!
