So I got a great deal on a HTC Hero for Bluegrass Cellular and got it in the mail a couple days ago… Hopefully I will have info on rooting as well as a review and some other stuff shortly…

On another note I do have it rooted and tethered to my laptop and the speeds are comparable to my home DSL connection…

Bragging Rights?????

Ok, so we have on here the nice F-150, so let’s add the car as well…these are both projects. This car however kicks the truck so far This is a battle of the sexes so to speak….the car however has undergone quite a bit more construction. This was MY first car back in ’08, and I still haven’t got it on the road yet; with good reason though. It’s been gradually modified as a hobby and passion since I’ve gotten it! The headers have been shaved down, new head and exhaust manifold gasket, new alternator just recently put on by *Tracker* (only one left in Bowling Green Lucky me!) and did I forget to mention the system? Oh yes, of course it has that….which is solely why Tracker has started with them! Show off pics so far:

So, this is MY project…..and yes, it may be a ’93 ford PROBE, but this is one car I’m not getting rid of anytime soon! Names mean nothing to me because this is one of the fastest cars I’ve ever driven, and word to the wise: don’t buy one unless you like speed because anyone will tell you they like to be stunted

Ok so I am trying to get back in the grove of posting again so here is one…. its me showing off my truck

Ok so I bought this 1998 Ford F-150 back in august and was happy because it was my first truck/car. It has a 4.6L V8 engine that currently has 140k miles and is white with regular cab and a short bed. Well I was not satisfied with the radio in it… So how do you fix that? NO!!! You dont take it to a shop and have them put one in… you do it yourself

[the truck is white with a LED underglow kit that changes from blue to red green teal white purple and a couple shades in between it also has different flashing and strobe patterns... Illegal as hell to strobe blue or red tho ]

[Gotta have a good radio right? 7 inch motorized flip up touch screen DVD player with USB and SD card inputs. It also has AV inputs on the front and back of the unit for xbox / digital converter box...ect..ect..ect. It also has a hookup and mode where when you put the truck in reverse it activates a rear view camera. Oh ya and bluetooth for handsfree cell phone use with a mic that was ran up next to my sun visor on the drivers side.]

[Cant have a system in a truck with out an amp and subs right? I have 2 10" subs with 2 different amps... Ya they dont match. One is a PPI 400 Watt amp powering a 10" Alpine Type S sub. The other is a Crosfire BMF 600watt powering a 10" Dual Voice Coil Power Acoustic sub. There is also a 2 FARAD Power Acoustic  capacitor and a cheap power distribution block. Along with about 700FT of hot ground remote and RCA wires all hidden running through the truck for the subs amps and capacitor]

All in all I spent about $700 on stuff for my truck between the system and underglow kit and I am not done yet… I am considering tossing 2 15″ Powerbass subs in the bed of the truck [I have a topper to put on it] along with ANOTHER amp. I also have a friend who is talking about air ride and NOS!!!!

Ya I know I take to much pride in my truck

Ok so I went into FYE the other day and bought a game for my ORIGINAL xbox for $1.00. All the games down there are HALF off! At least at the one down the road from me in the mall they are. Any one else confirm that they have it at their one?

Ok so the xbox 360 mod is complete and I have it put back together.Went a little over budget but that will all be explained.

I am testing everything out making sure the new thermal paste I put on it is.

I am also waiting for a couple new parts that should be here early next week.

Those being a Harddrive headset and a copy of COD4.

I am going to begin editing the videos very soon as well

Who says we cant post mods of other things besides tech stuff?

This guy with apparently to much time/money on his hands took a brand new Polairs ATV and ripped out the old engine put on a jet turbine and now he gets 1mpg Ok well maybe more than that but who knows. The ATV can go 60MPH and puts out 1300*F of exhaust at 114db. But it sounds kool right?

Follow up from yesterdays post. Looks like it was completed correctly. Release date is friday.

So with the release of the new firmware for the iPhone getting VERY VERY close one question on anyone who unlocks and or jailbreaks there phones are wondering the same thing. Well I am going to attempt to answer some questions.

First off for those of us unfortunate enough to be stuck with a 2.2.1 iPhone using a turbosim to unlock or just not using the phone because of the damn baseband update we are going to be in luck. A week or so ago I was reading the iPhone Dev Teams blog and they stated the following about yellowsn0w [the program used to unlock iphones with out using a turbosim.

YellowSn0w on 2.2.1 and beyond

We see many questions about whether yellowsn0w can ever be made to work on firmware versions past 2.2 (or equivalently, basebands past 02.28).  This is probably a good place to address those questions:

If there is a yellowsn0w update for firmware after 2.2 (or basebands after 02.28), there is no way it would ever be released before 3.0 is official. It just wouldn’t make any sense to release an exploit for something that only those who have beta 3.0’s (NDA signers) could use.  Most people in the world aren’t NDA signers.  Any yellowsn0w update for 3.0 would need to happen *after* 3.0 is officially available

Now I dont know if maybe I was just being optimistic but I figured they had gotten it to unlock on the 3.0 firmware just because of the way it was worded. Well I was correct. As of writing this and just a mere 4 hours ago the dev team posted this to there blog.

On Tuesday evening (just before the big Apple release) we’ll do a live demo of the yellowsn0w carrier unlock working on official 3.0 firmware. The actual link for the feed will be twittered by @MuscleNerd (see our twitter feeds to the right) and also placed here when the feed starts.  The demo should answer everything you need to know about the new yellowsn0w.  But it’s good news for iPhone 3G unlockers everywhere.

What does that mean? Well first it means I can drop this damn tubrosim and go software to unlock. Dont get me wrong the turbosim works great most of the time it just takes a while for it to kick in and do its job and having to type in "internet2.voicestream.com" every time I loose a signal is not a fun task. So that is great news for me and anyone else out there using it.

Lets move on shal we? The 3.0 firmware is going to be able to be jailbroken [did you have any doubt] and it will work with the new iTunes 8.2 that was released. So if things go as I think they are going to go by the end of the week I will be on the new itunes rocking 3.0 firmware on my iPhone with yellowsn0w unlocking it to use on t-mobile.

Lets summarize this up…

• iPhone 3.0 firmware CAN be jailbroken
• iPhone 3.0 firmware CAN be unlocked [pending the release of the new yellowsn0w]
• Quickpwn/pwnagetool WILL work with iTunes 8.2
• DarkWarrior is a n00b because he never posts anymore
