First off thank you for the comment! Second I do consider the good ol' rom hacks to be mods. I really was talking more on the lines of Counter-Strike, Team Fortress, and Day Of Defeat. I understand that Counter-Strike has pretty much become a full fledged engine (Based off HL2 as you said) and I understand your point of view. However I do love Counter-strike and all its "sub-modifications" Such as Gun Game, Death Match, and Surf (one of my favorites). I am fully aware that Counter-Strike was originally a mod but as you said its pretty much its own game now and I treat it as such in my mind. And finally I picked that picture because I figured many people would recognize it as a mod. I too have never played it, but its something to relate to the content of my post. Thanks again for the comment I'd love to here more!

Nice article, I just wanted to know if when you're talking about moddig games, do you mean hacking through it ?
like the good old rom hacks that are on http://www.zophar.net/hacks.html ?
or are you talking about mods like counter-strike, or day of defeat wich were half-life mods back in the days.
Counter-strike it a good example of a "mod gone mad" since I believe it became a full fledge game later on.

Aside of that, modding always give a fresh look to the game, like it or hate it.
The picture that you posted is indeed the famous gta sex mod, I never tried it, I'm more of a console-gamer but it certainly a very interesting arcticle and I look forward to see your opinions on the subject.
