Unlimited Music and skips on pandora

Graphic of a digital sound on black bottom

Alright if you are anything like me you really like to listen to music but I myself can not afford to buy enough songs to satisfy my diverse listening choices. Because of that I use Pandora… A lot….

So much in fact that my  radio in my truck automatically connects to my phone and starts playing pandora by default and I dont even know what radio stations are around me in my area . As a result I run out of time on pandora quickly and I cant stand not being able to skip songs when one comes on I do not like. This post is to help those like me learn how to bypass the system and get no ads and skip as many times as your heart desires on multiple platforms including Windows computers, Android devices, and iPhones.

THIS POST IS IN NO WAY CONDONING THEFT OF MUSIC OR PIRACY. IT IS SIMPLY EDUCATIONAL TO SHOW HOW IT CAN BE DONE . WHAT YOU DO WITH THE KNOWLEDGE IS PURELY UP TO YOU AND YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENCES  OF YOUR ACTIONS

First I am going to start off with the simplest and easiest one to do.

Windows:

This one was extremely simple

Goto THIS SITE and download the Saver2 bundle

Once installed there will be a couple icons listed. To listen to Pandora just click the Listen Only icon, log in, and enjoy. Simple as that. Your regular media controls will work so you can skip songs and pause while in the middle of what ever game you so desire to play!

Android:

This one is still fairly simple I will outline the steps below (this is for both phones and tablets)

  1. Uninstall current pandora client!
  2. Enable 3rd party installs by going to settings (on my device its under settings>more>security>Unknown sources
  3. Use your phone to browse to http://bit.ly/1mnk4aC
  4. Install and enjoy!

You use this client just like the one off the app store but it does not stop you from rapidly clicking the skip button to your hearts content! (although I would recommend some sort of self control)

iPhone:

This one requires you to jailbreak your iDevice. Don’t know how to do this? CLICK HERE be sure to read up on the risks and the proper way to perform the jailbreak and above all DO NOT PAY A WEBSITE TO DO IT!

  1. Jailbreak device
  2. Open cydia
  3. Click the “Manage” tab
  4. Select Sources and click edit on the top right
  5. Select add
  6. type in cydia.xsellize.com/ and press add source
  7. Follow directions on the screen to add
  8. Scroll down and click Xsellize
  9. Scroll down more and find “Pandora Skip hack”
  10. Enjoy!

Enjoy the tunes!

p.s. HOLY CRAP!!!! I MADE A INFORMATIVE POST!!!!

DIY Studio mic stand

Ok, so now that I’m pretty much settled into my house, I’ve gotten my desk almost all set out like I want, right? Until I realize I don’t have a proper mic stand for my 2 microphones. And you can’t do podcasts without a mic (well you can, but it’s not as fun!) That’s when I start thinking about a particular clamp on desk light I had purchased a while back. Loved the way it was able to move because it was a ‘elbow’ lamp, HATED the light that was on it! So, once it was found I started to plot out how I planned to pull this off. I cut off the power cord for lamp, unscrewed the base of lamp from the stand, then with MINOR adjustments the mic clip I have screwed into the joint where there was once a lamp! Then all I had to do was run the mic hook up wire where there was enough give to bend the mic everywhere it needed to be with ease. Then all I did was zip-tie the cord onto the stand, run the cord down to comp to hook in, and sit back and enjoy another of my contraptions 🙂 Not a bad idea, considering all I was out was $3 if my idea failed (which rarely they do…I do NOT accept failure). Considering these mini boom microphone stands sell online for around $70 average, I can take the price of mine any day 😉

Rii mini wireless keyboard/mouse (HTPC)

Ok, so we haven’t been having many updates lately. So starting with this, we will have a few back to back posts to curb your techno appetite :). Bet you’re wondering what in the world this little thing is…well for those of you that LOVE your controllers that are add-ons for your electronic gadgets like HDTVs, Xbox 360, ps3, Wii, or just a gaming PC, all of which you can see on DotBeasts product reviews or you may already know (or own one); this is a awesome, relatively cheap wireless keyboard/mouse combo to further enhance your PC enjoyment.

This is the features:

  • ·Wireless(RF 2.4G) connection, smart & portable size
  • · To enjoy PC Multi-media Entertainment at home
  • Convenient & efficient for Conference, Presentation & lecturing

It charges quicker and works longer. If you want to run it dead, it will more likely than not last you about a month before needing a charge.  Also for those of you that either love teasing animals, or actually are looking to purchase a cool business one, this remote has a laser point on it!

I’m sure you’re wondering how much this sweet little box costs, right? Well, right now through Amazon it is ON SALE…was $65.00, and is now $35.00 USD. I own one, and have to admit it’s a pretty fun little gadget to have.

Motorola Miletone / Verizon Droid Review…

Over the years I have had many many phones ranging from the old Nextel brick shaped phones to palm iphone windows mobile and many others as well.

Recently my carrier had a promotion going on where I was able to get my hands on a Motorola Milestone [CDMA] and so I upgraded from my previous android device the HTC Hero.

Well its not a bad device and here is the pros and cons…

PROS

  • Nice clear display
  • decent battery life for a smart phone
  • on screen and physical keyboard
  • fast processor for a smart phone
  • its android powered!

Cons

  • Has a odd lip at the bottom
  • no dedicated send / end buttons
  • keys are one solid rubber piece would be nicer if separate
  • buttons at bottom of screen are a bit to sensitive

Ok so overall I am pleased with this phone. It does have its minor issues but overall I would still recommend it over iPhone and Windows alternatives. Its ease of use and ability to be rooted in about 45 seconds using the universal root program and then you can use wifi tethering with the barnacle wifi tether app it is just a great device.

Asus EEEPC T91!!!!

Well I had my eeepc 701 for a long time [well for a laptop anyway] and I figured it was time to upgrade… and upgrade I did. I got the Asus EEEPC T91 Tablet PC. Have had it for about a month and am prepared to explain the pros and cons of this little convertible pc

First off the specs

  • Intel Atom Z520(1.33GHz, 512KB L2 Cache, FSB 533MHz)
  • 1 GB DDR2 SODIMM memory
  • 8.9″ WSVGA (1024×600) Resistive Touch Panel, w/ LED-backlit
  • Integrated Graphics Controller; Shared w/ system memory
  • 16 GB SSD + 16 GB SD Card Bundle

Ok so its not a super computer but it is decent!

PROS!!!

  • Full Touch Screen
  • Screen rotates for reading
  • Small size
  • Great battery life
  • DUAL SD Card Slots

CONS…

  • Small keyboard
  • Asus bloatware
  • Not linux friendly
  • Fingerprint magnate

Ok so let me explain the pros and cons… the T91 is a 8.9 inch tablet that can be used as either a netbook or a tablet.

Its small size and great battery life make it a perfect companion on long flights or car trips. The touch screen comes in handy for drawing or just playing games. Its also nice for reading e-books.

It comes paired with a 16gb SD card and 2 SD Card slots [1 free after the 16gb] Providing you with the ability of a maximum 80GB of storage space! [16gb ssd and 2x 32gb sd cards]

However it has a glossy black case that is a big fingerprint collector. I myself liked the matte black on the old eeepc but you cant win them all. The small keys take a little getting use to if you have been using a full size laptop but if you have been using a netbook you should be fine. It is also not very linux friendly due to the graphics chip but I prefer windows on a day to day basis so thats not a huge fault for me. The only major complaint I have is all the Asus Bloatware that comes bundled with it. While it is nice if you like yahoo widgets and such I just dont like it. However it is easily disabled and removed in about 30 seconds. It also ships with windows xp home. Why they did not include xp tablet I don’t know but I plan to upgrade this one anyway.

All in all this is a great little tablet for the money and hopefully I will get years of use out of it as I have my other Asus products

P.S. Sorry for the lack of updates life has taken its turns but hopefully the road is a bit straighter ahead and I will have a bit more time to do more on here!

New Toy!

So I got a great deal on a HTC Hero for Bluegrass Cellular and got it in the mail a couple days ago… Hopefully I will have info on rooting as well as a review and some other stuff shortly…

On another note I do have it rooted and tethered to my laptop and the speeds are comparable to my home DSL connection…

Above is my laptop through the cell phone

And this is my home DSL connection… Slightly higher upload and lower ping but sadly also a lower download speed.

Under Construction: BOJANGLES

Bragging Rights?????

Ok, so we have on here the nice F-150, so let’s add the car as well…these are both projects. This car however kicks the truck so far 😛 This is a battle of the sexes so to speak….the car however has undergone quite a bit more construction. This was MY first car back in ’08, and I still haven’t got it on the road yet; with good reason though. It’s been gradually modified as a hobby and passion since I’ve gotten it! The headers have been shaved down, new head and exhaust manifold gasket, new alternator just recently put on by *Tracker* (only one left in Bowling Green 😛 Lucky me!) and did I forget to mention the system? Oh yes, of course it has that….which is solely why Tracker has started with them! Show off pics so far:

{This is my little Legacy 800WATT show amp, the big amp is under the passenger seat…MTX 2300WATT old school!}

{These are my PB subs….12 inches….gotta love a hatch back, right? On top is two 5×9 Pioneers, and the door speakers have been redone with Pioneer show speakers as well 😛 Note the vice grips…They hold up the hatch back that’s the next thing on the list of things to be fixed: Hydraulic lifters }

{This is the head set radio…also a Pioneer….it’s got blue graphics that play across it to the music…swimming mermaids, racecars, and various equalizers…..very nice toy as well :P}

{This is interior…very well kept, of course. All power too…bet you never would of thought this was a 1993 model!}

{Well, this is all so far…hopefully next post will have a new exhaust…about only thing left to redo on it}

So, this is MY project…..and yes, it may be a ’93 ford PROBE, but this is one car I’m not getting rid of anytime soon! Names mean nothing to me because this is one of the fastest cars I’ve ever driven, and word to the wise: don’t buy one unless you like speed because anyone will tell you they like to be stunted 😛

Show Off Time…. My Ride :P

Ok so I am trying to get back in the grove of posting again so here is one…. its me showing off my truck 😛

Ok so I bought this 1998 Ford F-150 back in august and was happy because it was my first truck/car. It has a 4.6L V8 engine that currently has 140k miles and is white with regular cab and a short bed. Well I was not satisfied with the radio in it… So how do you fix that? NO!!! You dont take it to a shop and have them put one in… you do it yourself 😛

[The radio that was in the truck we were about to take it out]

[Had to replace the speakers in the door]

[the truck is white with a LED underglow kit that changes from blue to red green teal white purple and a couple shades in between it also has different flashing and strobe patterns… Illegal as hell to strobe blue or red tho :P]

[The control module for the underglow kit… It even has a mode where it strobes to the music in the truck]

[Gotta have a good radio right? 7 inch motorized flip up touch screen DVD player with USB and SD card inputs. It also has AV inputs on the front and back of the unit for xbox / digital converter box…ect..ect..ect. It also has a hookup and mode where when you put the truck in reverse it activates a rear view camera. Oh ya and bluetooth for handsfree cell phone use with a mic that was ran up next to my sun visor on the drivers side.]

[Cant have a system in a truck with out an amp and subs right? I have 2 10″ subs with 2 different amps… Ya they dont match. One is a PPI 400 Watt amp powering a 10″ Alpine Type S sub. The other is a Crosfire BMF 600watt powering a 10″ Dual Voice Coil Power Acoustic sub. There is also a 2 FARAD Power Acoustic  capacitor and a cheap power distribution block. Along with about 700FT of hot ground remote and RCA wires all hidden running through the truck for the subs amps and capacitor]

All in all I spent about $700 on stuff for my truck between the system and underglow kit and I am not done yet… I am considering tossing 2 15″ Powerbass subs in the bed of the truck [I have a topper to put on it] along with ANOTHER amp. I also have a friend who is talking about air ride and NOS!!!! 😛

Ya I know I take to much pride in my truck
