Ok so have you ever used stickam or ustream? Basily they are browser based webcam streaming appliations. Well dimdim is similar but yet diffrent. You can get a free hosted copy from them or host it yourself. The advantage of hosting it yourself is there is no limit to the number of viewers. I will hopefully have this setup on one of my vps’s and play around with it a bit soon but so far it looks promising. Oh ya and it also has desktop sharing 😉
