Ok well early this morning my isp decided to fail in the sense of there dns servers. So being the smart person I am I went in and changed my dns servers and made it where I am using opendns. Now I have found that opendns is quite a bit faster. Along with being faster you can setup shortcuts and custom logos and such. So now when ever I type in a invalid domain name instead of being directed to some crappy yahoo search I am direct to some crappy search with my logo on it! Also the shortcuts. I can type in mod and it takes me to themodshop.net. Another nice thing is the ability to enable domain connection. In this case its kinda like you try to type in themodshop.net but you some how manage to type in themodshop.nt. It will redirect you to themodshop.net if you have it enabled to do so. Same if you try to type in google.com and type in google.cm instead or .co…ect..ect. So I would suggest anyone that is having issues with there isp’s dns servers check out opendns.
