Shorten your url? How about do it within a program and use the API! [OPEN BETA!]

Ok well I have a shorten url service. Recently a few people have asked me to get a public api for it so they can use it for programs like twitter. Well I had that done! Now if you are a programmer and want your URL’s shortened then you can use the public api to do it.

To use the API for programs you would just have to submit the following http://l4n.us/api/?u=http://themodshop.net/somerandomlongfolder/somerandomlongpage.randomlongextension where your url is placed after the ?u=. Then the api will write the data to the database and spit back a url on a single line that you can pass through to the twitter post or what ever else you plan to use it for.

Ok not to hard right? But what if you want a nice pretty interface because you are going to use it for yourself by hand. Well in that case just head over to the source link below and type in your URL and poof you have a short one. This service is both free and ad free and quite fun to use for rick rolling people 😛

Enjoy.
